JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for inspecting products at pre-production, in-process and/or final production stages and to report findings.  Follow standard operating procedures and other standard inspection criteria.  Function performed in the field (at factory, warehouse, and other place of business).  Position requires inspection experience.  Extended travel also required as necessary.
JOB DUTIES
The following job duties are general requirements and are not to be considered all-inclusive.  The Supervisor (or their designee) as needed may assign other job duties:
Technical:
Pre-production:  evaluate raw materials, associated materials against client’s standard, check order against items received.  May include evaluating factory capabilities if required. *
Inspection:
Inspect products for defects and overall workmanship during in process, and or final stages, checking quality against reference sample or other client-approved standard/criteria. *
Visual inspect and measure finished products against client standard/criteria. *
Follows all required procedures established by company and client. * Represents company in professional and ethical manner. *
Reporting Communications: *
Produce draft or final inspection report, forward to inspection coordinator.
Communicate with site contact (verbal & written).
Communicate with inspection coordinator (verbal & written).

COMPUTER & SOFTWARE: *
Must be knowledgeable in use of computer hardware and have skill level required to use software currently in use by department. *

SAFETY & HEALTH *
Knowledgeable in and conform to all relevant UL-STR environmental, health, and safety procedures and regulations, as well as any of the client’s that may be applicable. *
 
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
• Prefer high school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 2-4 years demonstrated proficiency in quality-related area or equivalent to Bachelor Degree in professional area of specialization.
• Must gain proficiency in inspection procedures and random sampling principles.
• Must gain proficiency in documentation and procedures required by the company and clients relevant to this work area.
• Individuals hired to work primarily in or from an international location, must be bi-lingual, verbal and written, in English and the primary language used in area of operation.
