U.S. and EU to Co-Host November Toy Safety Conference

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the European Commission have announced plans to hold two one-day Toy Safety Conference sessions for Chinese toy manufacturers on November 14th and 16th, 2011 in Hong Kong and Guangdong Province, China, respectively.
The Toy Safety Conference will focus on providing "practical understandings" of the European Union's newly revised Toy Safety Directive and U.S. toy safety requirements, including those created under the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and its implementing regulations. Speakers include representatives from the CPSC, the European Commission, Chinese government officials, and safety experts from the toy industry.
