STR participated in the "International Product Safety & Restricted Substances" seminar organized by American Apparel and Footwear Association (AAFA) at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi on November 18, 2009.

The Conference provided a great platform for understanding product safety standards in the United States. It was attended by both American buyers and their Indian supply chain partners. The Government keynote presentation was made by Ms. Nancy Nord, CPSC Commissioner, and the industry perspective was presented by Mr. S. P. Oswal, Chairman, Vardhman Textiles Ltd. in the inaugural session. 

Dr Anne Bonhoff, the Global Head of Chemistry for STR's Testing and Quality Assurance Division, made a presentation on 'How to correct RSL issues through a testing program'. STR was also one of the sponsors of the event.
